Fed says Americans' wealth rose $2 trillion

Americans were $2 trillion richer in the second quarter, the first increase in household wealth since 2007, the Federal Reserve reports.

Net worth for households and non-profit groups climbed to $53.1 trillion from $51.1 trillion in the first quarter. The gains can be attributed to the stock market's best quarter since 1998 and to the first increase in home values in more than two years.
