Title: Florida Post by: parisgene on January 05, 2010, 07:05:05 pm 8) Welcome, Libby and I took the two exchange students to Florida over Christmas vacation and we enjoyed 80+ weather the whole time. Before we left, I gave the students the choice of staying in Illinois and sleeping-in every day or to go to the beach in sunny Naples. For some reason, they chose Florida. Everyone fared well except for me, when, on the return trip home, I started to wheese and cough. I now have full blown bronchitis. I guess that is poetic justice. :( Anyway, Naples was beautiful with 83 degree temperatures and short sleeve shirts everywhere. It kind of made me sorry that we had to come home. I told the kids they could just skip school the rest of the year. They said OK, then reality set in. I never saw so many Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Porche's, Mercedes, BMW's and even a stretch VW in my life. Oh well, that's what they get for living in Southern Florida instead of God's country, Illinois. :-\ |
