Beautiful young girl, beautiful mature voice.  Unfortunately, it gives me the heebie-jeebies that they're together, an accident of nature.   Still, yes, music, not noise, and I hope it all serves her well, not as so often happens to child "stars" forced to grow up too soon.

Just curious and interested....why would that give you the heebie-jeebies?

(Who says Germans have no sense of humor?!  After all, they're now trying to save Europe.  Better get their skates on?)   Wink

Loved the video! My mother's family progenitor was born in Münchsteinach, Ansbach-Bayreuth in 1759....my dad's family is German too! Lots of Germans around this area. I can't think of any German comedians at the moment but there surely must be some out there.  Grin

Reform school or slave/death camp for children?  And not in some brutal extremist third world country, but in one of our most sought after states, Florida.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2246378/Dozier-School-Report-reveals-19-unmarked-graves-Florida-boys-reform-school.html

But the South has always had its own harsh views.   One Arkansas legislator, Charlie Fuqua, former lawyer for the Arkansas Dept.of Human Services, even thinks the death penalty for children is in keeping with God's law (!?), and wrote a book about it.   Jim Bob Duggar (also once an Ark. state rep, now more famous and rich off having 19 kids) donated to Fuqua's campaign.  (They both lost their last public office bids.)

"...Fuqua doesn't think execution would have to be used often on children..."  (Well, no, I guess one execution per child ought to do it.)

Absolutely astounding what some people in, or aiming at, power in this day and age still think is "moral and right."

"Well bless my soul / What's wrong with me? / I'm itching like a man on a fuzzy tree / ..."

I knew Elvis was anti-Beatle, but it escaped me that he asked to be a soldier in the War on Drugs (apparently he was high on prescription pills while in the White House) and even presented a Colt .45 (gun, not malt liquor) to Tricky Richard.  Thanks for sharing, buzorro.

Other interesting bits about Elvis (e.g., his first paid gig was third billing to Slim Whitman?!):

I'd venture to say that John Lennon's music and persona will outlast even the great Elvis.  Elvis wasn't, after all, on the president's hit list.  He even got some kind of presidential medal or reward from Nixon for his anti-drug message, shortly before he OD'd.  Life's funny that way.

One thing I don't get...Why don't the gangsta wannabe's just quit pretending and paint their faces black.  Didn't Al Jolson pull that off?  And Michael Jackson tried so hard to be white?

Forget the rap crap.  The Soul man himself, Ray Charles said it best: 'If you can't whistle it, it ain't music.'

Give me Jackie Evancho anyday,,,

See what I mean?  All the rappers and wannabe gangstas ain't got the talent this young lady has in her little fingernail.

I actually thought you guys would be posting about what an American hater this guy is.  Psy, you can love his music and style, go a head.  This little ignorant creep has forgotten that it was American soldiers that kept his sorry little ass from slavery.  And, he wishes that American soldiers would have been killed in Iraq?  Admire him as you wish, just don't ever bring that little twit around here or someone might pee on his leg.  He is one pathetic person.

Well...I understand what you're saying Terry and I think I understand why, but at the same time I have to say I don't think Koreans have any reason to thank the U.S. for much of anything. Especially not the fact that we continue to occupy that country decades later. If the truth be told what the U.S. really did is deny the Korean people independence, sovereignty, and self-determination. http://www.anti-imperialist.org/korea-history-of-occupation.html

Anti-Americanism is rampant thanks to Bush Jr. and now Obama. Even our so-called "friends" would love to see the U.S. get its proverbial azz kicked. We have become the most hated country in the world...next to Israel that is. Just say'n.
