I give clues, you guess, and eventually someone will guess correctly! IF I could make a contest of it in some fashion, I would, but I will keep track of how many anyone has guessed correctly. I believe I'll be playing alone, though, for the most part.

5. Most 4-wheeled cars have 4 of them.
6. They go round & round & round, all over town.
7. Now and then they can go flat.
8. Women in WWII had to give up their stockings so more of these could be made.
9. I'm not sure if the #8 clue is accurate.
10. When some people have a little extra weight around their middle, it's said they are carrying a spare T _ R E.

Well, it was quite a toughie, but the answer is "TIRE"...Hope the clues made since. Well, gang, let's move on to another, shall we? (I've heard nothing to the contrary so far, I'll stop in a heartbeat if that's the eddict.)
