I couldn't figure out why certain words were being censored here, when in fact I had never added any censored words to the forum settings here. It turns out this is something Simple Machine Forums did on their own to comply with their advertisers.

Seems rather strange that the word p-e-d-o-phile is being censored. I wonder why the advertisers have a problem with the word pedophilia?
