In answer to your question why some act the way they do, um, taking a wild guess here, but maybe because some are stupid selfish spoiled tantrum-throwing undisciplined immature loudmouth jerks? 

Then again, perhaps a "scientific study" should be conducted.   

Yeah, plenty seriously lousy role models everywhere these days.   (I personally blame Bart and Homer Simpson for a lot of it.)
