Mutual UFO Network to hold Ely meeting to discuss recent sightings near here

Due to recent reports of unidentified flying objects by concerned citizens of Ely and surrounding areas in White Pine County, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) will be coming to the Prospector Hotel this Saturday, November 14th, 2009 to give a free public presentation about MUFON and discuss the area's recent UFO sightings.

The presentation will be given in the convention hall at the Prospector Hotel Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m., doors open for seating at 5:30 p.m.

This presentation will be given by Mark Easter, who is MUFON's Nevada State Director as well as MUFON's International Director of Public Relations. Mark is also a MUFON Certified Field Investigator and will be conducting an on-site UFO Field investigation the entire weekend in Ely and surrounding areas.

"Due to the increased amount of recent UFO sightings in White Pine County, including video evidence recorded by a credible witness, we feel it is important to get boots on the ground to do a comprehensive investigation" says Mark Easter, "and we are looking to talk with anyone who may have witnessed UFO activity in the area and has yet to report it."

Senior News Reporter Ed Pierce from KOLO TV News Channel 8 will also make the trip to Ely this weekend with a camera crew to follow Mark Easter during this MUFON presentation and UFO investigation. If citizens have witnessed UFO activity in White Pine County, you are encouraged to attend this important free MUFON seminar on Saturday night. Mark Easter will be available all weekend to talk with anyone who has witnessed UFOs in the sky and has not yet reported it.

To find out more about the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) you can visit us on-line at www.mufon.com. If you have witnessed UFO activity, you can also report your sighting by using MUFON's convenient On-Line UFO Report Form found on MUFON's internet homepage.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity, but the one that removes awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside. --Allan Bloom

Bulgarian Academy Scientists Reported to Be in Touch with Aliens

November 23, 2009, Monday

Scientists from the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) have been reported to be in touch with extraterrestrial beings.

The Bulgarian Novinar Daily has reported that the Bulgarian scientists are currently working on deciphering pictograms which are said to have come in the form of the so called “crop circles” with which the aliens answered 30 questions posed by the BAS researchers.

“They are currently all around us, and are watching us all the time. They are not hostile towards us; rather, they want to help us but we have not grown enough in order to establish direct contact with them. They are ready to help us but we don’t know what to request from them in case of contact,” said Lachezar Filipov, Deputy Director of the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as quoted by the Novinar Daily.

Filipov has said that even the Vatican had agreed that aliens existed. In his words, the humans are not going to be able to establish contact with the extraterrestrials through radio waves but through the power of thought.

He has stated that the human race was certainly going to have direct contact with the aliens in the next 10-15 years.

The deputy head of the Bulgarian Space Research Institute has also told the Novinar Daily that the extraterrestrials were critical of the people’s amoral behavior referring to the humans' interference in nature’s processes.

Filipov’s team is reported to be analyzing the 150 new crop circles which appeared around the globe in the past year.

The publication of the Novinar Daily about the BAS researchers communicating with aliens comes in the midst of a controversy over the role, feasibility, and reform of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, which last week even led to the exchange of offensive remarks between Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, and President Georgi Parvanov.

Mystery lights pass over Moutere area

Last updated 13:00 23/11/2009

No-one used the word UFO but the lights seen in the sky over Upper Moutere, near Nelson, last night are definitely unidentified.

Several people reported seeing balls of fire in the sky about 9.30pm, with Matiu Noakes saying he saw nine, moving from the direction of Kina toward Upper Moutere. "They looked like skydivers coming down with flares attached to them."

He said they faded out over Upper Moutere and were going too fast to be flares.

Lisa Chambers, marketing manager for Skydive Abel Tasman and a keen member of Nelson's skydiving community, said "there is absolutely no way it could have been skydivers". She said night drops were too dangerous in that area and had there been a prank afoot, she would have known.

Mike Reed, a helicopter pilot, said he was driving toward Motueka along the Moutere Highway when he saw the lights. He saw several other cars parked at the turnoff to Neudorf Rd, and spoke to others there who had been watching the lights.

He said he expected to hear aircraft noise when he turned off his engine but it was completely silent. Even so, he double-checked with air traffic control at Nelson Airport, which knew of no aircraft in the sky nearby at the time.

He said the lights were below the clouds, which he estimated to be about 300 to 500 metres up, and one of them appeared to float up into the clouds.

"If I was going to take a guess on it, I would say somebody's got a bunch of helium balloons and they've tied something on to it." But he had discounted every theory he had come up with so far.

Astronomer Robert Rea, of the Nelson Science Society, said he doubted anything astronomical would have pierced last night's cloud cover. Motueka police said they received no calls.

Footage of 'UFO' taken in Ireland

London, Jan 22 :

The footage of a UFO flying
near the River Liffey in Dublin has left experts thinking it could either be a secret aircraft or spacecraft.

In the video, a triangular formation of lights was filmed flying at night at "incredible speed".

"The video seems to have been taken through a night scope and presumably shows things not visible to the naked eye," the Sun quoted Nick Pope, who probed mystery sightings for the MoD for three years, as saying.

"It appears to show a structured craft
moving at incredible speed. The configuration of the lights is unlike any aircraft I''ve ever seen.

"It's either some secret prototype aircraft or drone, or something considerably more exotic," he added.

Wow...this actually looks like something I witnessed years years ago!  Shocked

UFO sighting puzzles N.L. residents

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Residents of Harbour Mille, on Newfoundland's south coast, reported seeing this
object fly over their community Monday night. (Courtesy: Darlene Stewart)

Residents in Harbour Mille, a tiny community on Newfoundland's south coast, want to know what they saw in the sky Monday night.

Darlene Stewart said she was outside taking pictures of the sunset when she saw something fly overhead.

She snapped a picture of the object in an attempt to zoom in on it to see what it was.

"Even with the camera, I couldn't make it out until I put it on the computer," she told CBC News. "I knew then it wasn't an airplane. It was something different."

Stewart's picture shows a blurry image of what appears to be some kind of missile-like object emitting either flames or heavy smoke.

Emmy Pardy also saw the object.

"It appeared to come out of the ocean," she told CBC News. "It was like it was in the middle of the bay."

An RCMP officer was in the community Tuesday to investigate the reports.

Pardy said she'd like to know what the object was.

"It's kind of scary because you don't know if something is being set off out in the bay, [or] if someone is doing experiments," she said.

The residents plan to be outdoors again Tuesday evening to see if there is a similar sight in the sky.
