WOW, Chazzy, bravo!   Shocked  Your grandson should rent himself out as a Mushroom Detector.  Smiley   I've still not felt them beckon (usually in May), but "my" area's private land, so still hopeful.  And yes, raindance please!  (So when y'all gonna invite the forum over for a sample?  Wink Grin )

Chazzy I knew you could do it!

Wow...what a haul! For me it was always more fun finding them than eating them.  Grin

DJ, tell you what. Next time you find a bunch, let me know. I will gladly come and pick them up. You can enjoy the thrill of the hunt, and I will enjoy the feast, lol

It"s been kinda slim pickens till today, the granboy has found a few , but needed rain ....real bad. Fe and my  son went out this mornin and found 17, but 4 of them were big, 1 real big..Then Chis , my granson, went out this afternoon and found 35 more....Granpa"s hip went out the last time, so i took a couple days off.  With this rain they are going to be some big cone ,and a lot found. My opinion .... But myneighbor came over this afternoon and showed me 105 big nice yellow ones, his boy and granson had found today......Biggest mess i seen this year..

Dang, Chazzy!  Shocked   I've heard of beer-can sized ones, but that's one hunka hunka mud-shroom there!   (What is that can? -- Duncan Hines Cream of Morel Frosting?? Cheesy)   BEAUTIFUL!  I saw 15 big yellow beauties yesterday also.  (Unfortunately they were in another hunter's bag, not mine... Cry  But I can't comment on my search -- as it's still under investigation. Wink )  ... Good luck with the hip.

Tuck, if it meant that it was possible for me to hike around in the woods and find the mushrooms without being in excruciating pain, then I would gladly cook and serve them up to you on a platter.

But it's just not possible.  Cry
