OPEN LETTER TO GLENN BECK

As I sit here and think of all of the strides that we have made in race relations because of the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. my heart is very heavy that you cannot see the comparison of you going to Washington and standing on the sacred ground that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood on and your thoughts about the Cultural Center/Mosque. We not only lost millions of lives but we were your slaves for over 400 years. We can know longer allow hatred to cloud our judgment and start what will go down in history as one of the worst wars ever. The Mosque will be two blocks away from Ground Zero but you want to be on the steps on the actual date of one of our fallen hero. He lost his life because of hatred that really never was founded. We should have never been treated in the manner that we have been. Black America has stood by long enough and been talked down to and mistreated. We are some hard working people that have been spit upon, killed, hanged, dismembered and then had our families separated. We did not know our culture because you stole it from us. We have a Black President and this is what all of this hatred is about. We have had 43 Presidents before him of which we respected. We did not vote for him because he was a Black man but a man that we respected. Remember we had voted for 43 White Presidents so we were not racist. You and your obstructionists have held him back long enough. We knew going in that he would have a fight on his hands but nothing compared to what he has had to endure. You have talked about him and his family with no thought as to how his children may feel hearing all of this ugliness about their parents. You don't know the nightmares that they may be having not knowing when something may happen to their father like what happened to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Republicans left him with the job problems, housing problems, banking problems, Wall Street problems and two wars. He is not a socialist or a Muslim and if he was a Muslim, you could not judge all Muslims by what happened on 911 anymore than we can blame all of White America for what has happened to us. If you think that the Cultural Center/Mosque should be moved because of the sensitiveness of 911, then you should stop your march because it is not of a peaceful nature. You chose his cause to slap us in the face. Compare how many of our lives have been lost and yet we have to hear about everyone and what they have gone through. You could never pay us for the time and work that we did to build up America and make it the country that it is today. Labor is the highest thing that you pay for and if you took that time and multiplied it by our labor and we would own the United States.

Religion is sacred and it should not be used to cause pain. God is Love and he does not represent Hate. You say you know God, then move your march or call it off. It is time to end the war on President Obama. We are a country of many ethnic groups and cultures. We must learn to get along in order for our country to thrive and move forward. Change has come rather you like it or not. You, the Tea Party and the Republican Party should be ashamed of yourselves. You can not agree with his policies but you have not even given him a chance. This war started the day he took office. The rich continue to want to stay in charge at the expense of the people. Middle Class America is tired. You should stop this bickering and find some solutions. You should tell the large companies that want their tax breaks that it is our time now. We have carried the load long enough. They have hid their profits in other countries and sent our jobs overseas and around the world. The Illegal Immigrants here are not responsible. It is you and your rich buddies that have those large captives and hidden money. You are backed by some heavy hitters with big pockets but you will see that money cannot buy everything. Call off this farce of a march because it tears up our soul. I feel that you will be walking on concecrated ground with hatred and blood on your hands. By the way, we have paid into Social Security. This money has been taken out of our payroll checks every pay period. If you want to give us our money back in a lump sum now, we will gladly take it. Unemployment Compensation is not welfare either. If President Obama had not done what he has not gotten credit for, you would not be in the position to spew your lies and hatred because you too may have to use Unemployment Compensation.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a beautiful dream but you want to turn it into a nightmare. The First Shall Be Last and The Last Shall Be First.
